Virginia R Bigwood was a lifelong resident of Weare. Ginny graduated from both Weare High School and Hesser business college as valedictorian. She held administrative positions at NY life, Sanders Associates, American Petroleum Institute, and the State of NH. During and following her career she worked alongside her husband in his catering business known as Garard Catering. She also served her country in the USNR-N for 8 years during the Vietnam War. She was a member of the Waves National, a past president and lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a life member of the Eastern Star.
