Ron served in Vietnam. He landed in country on his 21st birthday 7/5/1969.  He served in multiple fields including starting out in food service and ending in financial management. His favorite placement was Phoenix, Arizona where he had always hoped to retire.

He was also stationed in Plattsburgh, NY, Lakenheath, England, Pease, NH and Hanscom AFB, MA just prior to his retirement.

He was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with Five Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with Five Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Two Oak Leaf Cluster with Valor Device, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Two Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation, Air Force Training Ribbon, NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon, Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Service Stars.

After his many years of service, he graduated from Franklin Pierce Magna Cum Laude and worked at Citizens Bank for 17 years. He was an amazing son, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.  He will continue to be honored by those who love him.
