Roger, born in Hooksett, NH, was educated in the local schools and went on to serve his country proudly for over 43 years, first in the Navy during WWII and then in the Air National Guard, Air Force, and Army National Guard. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 36 years as the Postmaster for Suncook and Hooksett until his retirement.

He was assistant softball coach at Southern NH University for over 20 years, previously serving as an assistant coach at Daniel Webster College, Memorial High School and Hooksett Junior High School. Roger was a long-time head coach of Roger’s Renegades, an over 30 softball team, and led the team to three national titles, two national runner-up finishes and one national third place finish.  He was inducted into the New Hampshire Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame in 2010.

He was very active in Hooksett town activities, for example helping to organize parades for Memorial Day and Veterans Day, proudly wearing his Army uniform.
