Private Robert William Bagley / United States Army

Private Robert William Bagley — Robert Bagley is not a native of Milford, but came here to live in 1940. He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on February 3, 1923, the son of Henry Bagley of Milford and the late Marion (Graham) Bagley.

He received part of his education in Pembroke, Massachusetts, and part in Maine. When he entered the Army on January 18, 1943, he was employed at the Johns-Manville plant in Nashua.
From his first camp, Fort Devens, he was sent to Fort Meade, Maryland, for basic training. He was discharged for physical reasons June 19, 1943.
