SFC Michael Noel was born in Manchester, NH. He graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1999 and spent almost two years at the New Hampshire Technical Institute before enlisting in the Army in November of 2000. He was shipped to Basic Training on January 10, 2001, and completed Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. SFC Noel went to Fort Huachucha Arizona for 96R Ground Surveillance Training before going to Airborne school at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was stationed with Bravo Company, 313th Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina until 2003. In January 2003 he was attached to Alpha Company, 313th Military Intelligence Battalion, and deployed to Afghanistan until September 2003. He rejoined Bravo Company upon his return before enlisting with the New Hampshire Army National Guard in January 2005. SFC Noel has served in the New Hampshire National Guard since 2005 and has held the positions of Supply Specialist (92Y) and Human Resources Specialist (42A). In 2010 SFC Noel was hired full-time as an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) and serves full-time as a Senior Human Resources NCO and functions as the Brigade 51 Non-Commisioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC).
