Born in South Bend, Washington, Judi’s commitment to service began with her enlistment in the United States Navy. Her period of active duty took place during the Vietnam War era, providing her with the foundation of discipline and pride that she carried throughout her life. Following her honorable discharge, she transitioned to civilian life in Virginia, where she pursued higher education.

In 1976, she earned an Associate’s Degree in Science from Tidewater Community College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Eventually, Judi settled in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, where she became a cornerstone of the local community. Her service extended beyond the military into civic and religious leadership, including significant roles within the Sanbornton Harmony Grange and various committees at the Sanbornton Congregational Church.

An avid adventurer, Judi traveled to six continents and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. In her later years, her mission of service shifted toward animal welfare. She became a dedicated advocate for canine rescue, directly facilitating the rescue and rehoming of hundreds of abandoned and neglected dogs.
