B-24 pilot serving in England during WWII after being a student at UNH for one year

On his 17th mission, he was shot down on a bombing run to Magdeburg, Germany (Feb 3, 1945). He was one of two survivors of that mission

He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Air Medal, and the POW medal

Released from the German POW camp in May 1945. He stayed in Stalag IXC for over 100 days

Upon completion of college at UNH, he settled in Manchester with his wife and two daughters and had a successful career with IH

He was very involved in many volunteer organizations during his time in Manchester

His favorite saying is-“Make every day a good one”
