John “Jack” F. Cassidy was born on September 7, 1914, in Salem, Massachusetts. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, contributing to the defense of his country during a pivotal time in history. In 1970, he moved to Belmont, New Hampshire where he spent his retirement years.

Jack dedicated his professional life to public service as an auditor for the U.S. Government. He was also a devoted member of St. Joseph Parish in Belmont, actively participating in the Holy Name Society. His commitment to his community was evident in his roles as a former Grand Knight and District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus, as well as a member of the American Legion Post #58.
