II met George after he returned from Vietnam. He didn’t talk much about his time there, but he was very proud of his service. After we were married, he continued his service to his country. He became a Uniformed Secret Service Agent and was stationed at the White House. He served for 20 years and took great pride in that service. He didn’t brag or speak often about it, but it meant a great deal to him. He was a loving husband and father. He was involved in all the activities our children were part of. I still miss him every day.
