Corporal David Horne served in the US Army for 2+ years. Prior to joining the Army he had studied at UNH and NH Technical Institute at Portsmouth, NH. He had been serving in Korea for some time and was returning home for his first leave when he was killed in Hawaii. The aircraft he was flying home on (US Navy NATS flight aircraft 131612) crashed into Palikea Mountain on approach to Hickham AFB, killing everyone. His photograph is on the Army monument at the NH State Veterans Cemetery Army monument.
