Annie G. Davis was born on January 9, 1918. As the United States entered the global theater of World War II, Annie stepped forward to serve her country, joining the United States Army. At a time when women were first being integrated into the regular Army structure, she earned the rank of Corporal.

Her service coincided with the massive mobilization of the 1940s, during which she contributed to the American war effort before eventually returning to civilian life. A long-time resident of New Hampshire, Annie passed away on September 16, 2006, at the age of 88. She is honored for her wartime contributions at the state’s hallowed grounds in Boscawen, where she rests among her fellow service members.
